SPONSORSHIP SUNDAY: Meet Kevine Uwumuhoza!

Welcome to the third edition of Sponsorship Sunday! I love giving you a little glimpse of the precious children we help through Shelter Them.

This beautiful young lady is Kevine Uwumuhoza. She is sixteen years old, and her birthday is April 24. Kevine is our oldest girl at Shelter Them, and we are so glad that she was given the opportunity to live in one of our homes.
You see, Kevine lost her mother when she was only eleven years old, and she has never even met her father. After her mother passed away, Kevine was taken in by her uncle, but sadly, he was unable to provide for her. They lived in extreme poverty. Kevine probably never would have had a chance to better herself, if it wasn’t for a friend of her deceased mother. This lady, who surely must have been an angel in disguise, saw how Kevine’s uncle was struggling to take care of her, and went to Shelter Them for help. Shelter Them was able to step in and find Kevine a place in our Girls’ Home.
Kevine has finished Primary school, and is planning on furthering her education. Shelter Them will continue to support her until she receives her full education and we are sure that she is provided for, which is why she needs a sponsor to encourage her as she dreams and plans for her future! Kevine also received some pretty exciting news concerning her schooling lately. Here, I’ll let her tell you all about it!

We are so proud of Kevine for her amazing score! You haven’t heard the last of this girl!

As you can see, Kevine is a much-loved member of our Shelter Them Family! She is pictured here on the left, with her "sister" who is also named Kevine. These two are from our Girls' Home. Also pictured is Sherry, who runs the Newfoundland branch of Shelter Them.

Here Kevine is pictured with her new mattress that she received from Shelter Them. I love her "Canada" shirt, don't you?

Beautiful Kevine in her new school outfit!
For $40 a month, you can help Kevine Uwumuhoza to fulfill her goals in life and ensure that she is provided everything she needs as she studies! Will you be the one to help her continue her education, and, more importantly, show her that she is special and valuable as a human being? As a sponsor, you will receive regular letters and photo updates from her, and you can even visit her in Rwanda!

If you’d like to sponsor Kevine, or if you would like to view the rest of our children available for sponsorship, you can visit us here: Shelter Them Child Sponsorship.
